GreenBlues Conceptual Integrated Property Development in Action

Conceptual integrated property development in action

An infrastructure and facilities for human conveniences can be constructed within a few years. The humbling beauty nature took hundreds of millions of years to build, we can destroy overnight, but their creation is lightyears beyond the reach of human capacity. During the preceding 10 years a systematic transformation has taken place, changing the GreenBlues property’s original cash-crop based features into a diversified landscape and creating separate areas for designated functions and activities. The physical master plan for the whole property has been mapped out, and the ‘heavy duty’ work of large-scale disruptive land sculpting (building service roads, bridges, storm water drainages, digging ponds, landfills, tap water supply system, etc.) has been completed. This existing ‘hardware’ can now serve as a common grid for future development.

infrastructure / features

Land diversification

Diversified organic farm, today boasting in addition to old oil palms and rubber trees crops like Avocados, Durians, Soursop, Acerolla cherries, Mulberries, different spurepecies of Limes, Lemons, and Calamansi, 6 different varieties of delicious Bananas, Longkong, and groves of scented Coconuts, Mangosteen and Cacao. A rain shelter vegie garden is in the making.

Logistics

A network of solid all-weather driveways serves every part of the property. A 3 km long exercise/ jogging trail ‘on the wild side’, following in large parts the edge of the forest, is being planned.

Electricity

All houses on the property have 220 V single phase electricity provided by EGAT (Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand).

Communication

A fibre optics cable, installed by CAT (Communication Authority of Thailand), provides all existing houses with high-speed WIFI. Mobile phone signal is very unstable.

Water features

There are several large ponds in separate locations. The two largest are today home to organically grown fish, and another one, the “Magic Moon Pond”, fed by a seasonal small stream, provides spectacular views of the surrounding limestone cliffs, mountains and forest. Yet another 90-meter-long pond with an in-situ natural limestone bottom has been built and shaped in view of being converted into a future ‘integrated’ swimming pool.

Tap water supply

Several wells in different locations provide clean 100% unpolluted underground water. All existing buildings and large sections of the garden have tap water supply.

Drinking water

At GreenBlues we produce our own pure filtered rainwater.

Suite Papaya

Completely built from recycled materials (except for the cement work and sanitary ware) in a traditional Asian two-story open plan, the property’s present main building, ‘Suite Papaya’, sits on top of a central viewpoint. Visitors are welcome to share a cup of tea or coffee and snacks while enjoying the breath-taking all-encompassing scenery.

ForRestSuite’, house ‘on the wild side’

Leave your to do lists and worries behind and enter another realm: Nestled under the canopy of virgin rainforest, old growth palms, and cacao trees, the ForRestSuite sits right at the edge of the forest. Evoking the simple down to earth yet functional and rustic charm of traditional Thai two-story country homes, this Cottage is solidly built from recycled old timber and coconut wood.

The ForRestSuite is located a short walking distance from ‘Suite Papaya’. It is self-contained with fully equipped kitchen, hot water shower, and WIFI. Night temperatures are in the lower twenties, so there is no need for air conditioning. Providing absolute silence, privacy, and views onto the Karst mountains, the location is a one of a kind get-away for true nature freaks. ForRestSuite is available for long-term rent.

Staff accommodation

There are three small houses in separate locations which serve as staff accommodation.

The property has all the qualities and ingredients that lend themselves perfectly to the creation of separate and independent designated areas of utilization.

Because of the land’s surroundings, its size, ambiance, and its natural flow, several aspects of a wellness sanctuary with focus on ‘healthy lifestyle, healthy food, healthy body, healthy mind’ can be combined.

As an essential supportive element of the GreenBlues concept, an area of approximately 17 acres (40 rai) on the Western side of the property has been earmarked to be donated to a foundation (managed and operated independently) in support of and to facilitate the creation of a
